SALT LAKE CITY – Former Desert Hills and Nevada Wolfpack standout Gabriel Sewell Jr. forced a big fumble during the Philadelphia Stars’ victory over the Michigan Panthers.
The Stars hosted the Panthers during Week 8 of the 2022 USFL season on Sunday, June 5.
With 6:49 remaining in the fourth quarter and Philadelphia owning a 39-18 lead, the Panthers were on the verge of scoring with the ball on the one-yard line.
Shortly after Panthers quarterback Paxton Lynch snapped the pigskin, Sewell leaped into the backfield and swung his left arm down towards the ball. Sewell’s swing punched the ball free and inside the end zone. Philadelphia’s Ahmad Dixon recovered the ball for a touchback.
