SALT LAKE CITY- Interest has never been higher for the Utes when it comes to high-level recruits. After a successful 2021 campaign that ended in a shoot-out thriller against Ohio State in the Rose Bowl, Utah has the attention of high school recruits the likes the program has never seen before.
June is shaping up to be one of the most important months in Utah’s short history with the Pac-12 according to UteZone’s Steve Bartle, and the first weekend of visits appear to have gone well.
Who Was In Town?
The Utes hosted six big names this past weekend of 22 confirmed official visits so far. Four-star defensive linemen Anthony James and Enow Etta were in Salt Lake City checking out what the Utes have to offer. They were joined by four-star linebacker Liona Lefau, three-star offensive lineman Heath Ozaeta, three-star running back Marquise Collins and three-star linebacker Owen Chambliss.

Anthony James
James is in high demand having originally been committed to Texas A&M and holding more than a handful of offers from some of the best programs in the country. However, James recently backed off his commitment to the Aggies to see what else is out there. Based off James’ Twitter it appears Utah really impressed.

Another Big Week
The Utes do not appear to be slowing down their official visit roll anytime soon this month. Despite finishing up a very big weekend, Utah will be looking ahead starting today as they host legacy athlete, linebacker Jamal Anderson Jr.- son of the “Dirty Bird” himself.
