Tony Finau Fires Bogey Free Second Round At Charles Schwab Classic

SALT LAKE CITY – Tony Finau put together a stellar second round at the Charles Schwab Classic that included 2 birdies, 16 pars, and 0 bogeys as he enters the weekend in a tie for 39th.
Finau’s two birdies came on the par 4 3rd and par 4 12th hole. Fortunately, Finau began the day at one-over par but with his superb second round will enter the weekend under par.
Currently, Finau finds himself eight shots off the pace as Scott Stallings and Beau Hossler share the lead at nine-under-par. World number one Scottie Scheffler is in lone third position and one shot back at eight-under-par.

Last year, Finau finished the Charles Schwab Classic in a tie for 20th. The year prior a tie for 23rd, and in 2019 he finished in lone second place. The Charles Schwab Classic has proven to be a beneficial playground for Finau who has found nothing but success as of late.
The tournament comes a week after Finau finished in a T30 at the PGA Championship. Finau has managed to make the cut in his past five tournaments dating back to the 2022 Masters Tournament. The last cut Finau missed occurred at The Players Championship on March 12.
Tee times and pairings ahead of the weekend are yet to be announced.
