The victory earned Real Salt Lake three points on the road for only the second time this season. It was also the club’s first-ever win at Montréal.
Before beating Montréal, RSL’s only road win of the year came against the New England Revolution in March.
First 45 Minutes
Things started poorly for RSL as Djordje Mihailovic found the back of the net during the opening minute of action.
Mihailovic scored less than 45 seconds into the match to give Montréal an early 1-0 advantage on the scoreboard.

Second Half Comeback
Like the club’s last match, Real Salt Lake found itself down a goal at halftime and came out of the locker room attacking early in the second half.
During the 54th minute, Pablo Ruiz sent the ball into the box on a corner kick from the far side of the field. Glad connected his head onto the ball and sent it sailing into the back of the goal.
Glad’s goal leveled the score a 1-1.

12 minutes after Glad’s goal, Real Salt Lake made the most of another offensive opportunity.
In the 66th minute, Maikel Chang fed the ball ahead to a sprinting Sergio Córdova, who struck the ball at a sharp angle and buried the ball into the net at the near post.
Córdova’s goal put RSL in front, 2-1.
