Former Utah LB Devin Lloyd Officially Signs Rookie Deal With Jaguars

SALT LAKE CITY – The Jacksonville Jaguars announced that former Utah Utes linebacker Devin Lloyd signed his rookie contract with the team.
Lloyd reportedly signed his rookie deal on Thursday, May 12.
The Jaguars selected the linebacker with the No. 27 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
According to Spotrac, Lloyd’s rookie deal will be worth nearly $13 million guaranteed, including a $6.5 million signing bonus. Lloyd’s contract will be for four seasons.
Lloyd was one of five rookies to sign rookie-scale contracts with the Jaguars.
The former Utah standout reported to Jacksonville’s offseason workout program on Thursday.

Lloyd was the second linebacker taken in the draft. Jacksonville traded up to take Lloyd with the No. 27 overall pick.
The former Utah standout will join a Jaguars team that posted a 3-14 record in 2021.
The Chula Vista, California native played for the Utes from 2018-21.
As a senior in 2021, Lloyd recorded 111 total tackles, 66 solo tackles, eight sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, four interceptions, six pass breakups, and two touchdowns.
During his Utah career, Lloyd had 256 total tackles, 150 solo tackles, 16.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, five interceptions, eight pass breakups, and three touchdowns.
