UTAH JAZZ
Dwyane Wade, Gabrielle Union Shine At Met Gala

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz and the Met Gala haven’t traditionally gone hand in hand, but then again, Dwyane Wade is not your traditional NBA team owner.
Wade and actress wife Gabrielle Union were guests at the annual event that is held to raise money for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute.
The power couple appeared at the event adorned in Versace at one of the most star-studded fashion events on the calendar.

Both Union and Wade posted photos on social media of their preparation for the event, and how they looked when they showed up on the red carpet of the famous Met Gala stairway.
According to PopSugar, “Union wore a silver Atelier Versace dress that featured a plunging neckline; a long, white feathered train; and a red, embellished flower wrapped around her waist. Wade opted for a modern, regal look in a white Versace suit adorned with gold buttons and a large brooch.”
Union told Vogue that her dress was a tribute to actress and activist Diahann Carroll who was “a symbol of opulence and if you will, a gilded glamour.”
Other NBA Stars At Met Gala
Wade wasn’t the only NBA star to make an appearance at the Met Gala.
Los Angeles Lakers guard Russell Westbrook also made an appearance at the event wearing “an elongated ankle length tailcoat in black silk moiré with tipping, white tie vest in white silk moiré, ankle length pleated skirt in 3-ply mohair and classic wing collar shirt,” according to designer Thom Browne.

Westbrook has collaborated with Browne before as one of the NBA’s more lavish dressers.
Former New York Knicks and Golden State Warriors forward David Lee also attended the event with tennis star wife Caroline Wozniacki.
Lee wore a more traditional tuxedo while Wozniacki wore a dress by designer Christian Siriano.
