Instant Replay: Former Cosmo BYU Mascot Helps Out Elementary School

SALT LAKE CITY – Charlie Bird, who was formerly a Cosmo the Cougar mascot at BYU, used his talents to help out an elementary school in need.
“My nephew’s elementary school needed a mascot” Bird captioned a video posted to Instagram. “So I knew what I had to do!”
Bird’s video started with a clip of him as Cosmo at BYU before putting on a mascot outfit of a tiger at his nephew’s elementary school.
The former cougar turned tiger used his skills to entertain a large group of elementary students.

“Please help me understand how the head stayed on for the backflip but fell off in the hallway,” Bird posted alongside the video.
About Cosmo the Cougar
Bird served as BYU’s Cosmo the Cougar from 2015-18.
Cosmo has had a history for decades of doing impressive stunts that wow fans around the country and the world for that matter.
In 2017, Cosmo became a viral sensation with a dance to Ayo & Teo’s “Rolex” that was performed alongside the BYU’s National Champion dance squad “Cougarettes.”
Bird was the one under the suit for that viral moment that has garnered 7.2 million views.
The high standard was set but future mascots continued the viral moments, highlighted by an incredible dunk from behind the three-point line this past season during a BYU basketball game that had the nation abuzz.
