Former NFL Player Calls Devin Lloyd ‘Perfect Fit’ For Jacksonville Jaguars
SALT LAKE CITY – Former NFL linebacker Stevenson Sylvester called former Utah Utes linebacker Devin Lloyd a “perfect fit” for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Sylvester, who played in the league from 2010-14, discussed Lloyd’s fit with Jacksonville during KSL TV’s SportsBeat on Sunday, May 1.
“Devin fits perfectly into that system,” the former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker said of Lloyd.

Sylvester also discussed Lloyd’s ability to be a leader for a young Jaguars team.
“Devin just has to go in there and be himself,” Sylvester said.

The Jaguars selected Lloyd with the No. 27 overall pick during the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. The opening round of the NFL Draft took place in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 28.

Lloyd was the second linebacker taken in the draft.
The former Utah standout will join a Jaguars team that posted a 3-14 record in 2021.

Devin Lloyd at Utah
The Chula Vista, California native played for the Utes from 2018-21.
As a senior in 2021, Lloyd recorded 111 total tackles, 66 solo tackles, eight sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, four interceptions, six pass breakups, and two touchdowns.

He helped the Utes win their first Pac-12 title and earn a Rose Bowl Game bid for the first time in program history.
During his Utah career, Lloyd had 256 total tackles, 150 solo tackles, 16.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, five interceptions, eight pass breakups, and three touchdowns.
