Instant Replay: Giannis Antetokounmpo Throws Alley-Oop To Himself

SALT LAKE CITY – MVP finalist and Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo threw a pass to himself off of the background before throwing down a vicious slam dunk.
The Bucks played on the road against the Boston Celtics to open the Eastern Conference semifinal round on Sunday, May 1.
Midway through the fourth quarter, Antetokounmpo worked the defense before pivoting away from Boston’s Grant Williams. He then threw the ball off of the backboard and rose into the air to catch the pass to himself. Antetokounmpo rocked the rim with a tw0-handed jam on the alley-oop to himself.
Antetokounmpo’s dunk gave the Bucks a 94-78 lead.

Milwaukee held on to beat Boston, 101-89.
Antetokounmpo finished the game with a triple-double featuring 24 points, 13 rebounds, and 12 assists. He added two blocks in 38 minutes of action.

With the win, the Bucks took a 1-0 series lead. Game 2 of the series will take place in Boston on Tuesday, May 3 at 5 p.m. (MDT) on TNT.
Milwaukee reached the East semis after taking down the Chicago Bulls in five games in the first round. Antetokounmpo is one of three MVP finalists, along with Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets) and Joel Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers).
