Report: Weber State WR/KR Rashid Shaheed Signing With New Orleans Saints

SALT LAKE CITY – Former Weber State wider receiver/kick returner Rashid Shaheed has signed as an undrafted free agent with the New Orleans Saints, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
KSLSports.com was able to confirm Shaheed’s deal with New Orleans.
Shaheed signed with the Saints following the NFL Draft on Saturday, April 30.

The former Weber State return threat joins a New Orleans team that finished at 9-8, missing out on the postseason in 2021.
About Rashid Shaheed
The 6’0, 180 pound wide receiver from San Diego, CA finished his career as the FCS all-time leader in kickoff return touchdowns, housing seven in his career. Shaheed is the the only Weber State Wildcat to be named as an All-American four different times.
In 53 games with Weber State, Shaheed set the Wildcats all-time record for kickoff return average at 29.1 yards per return with 88 total returns to his name.
As a senior, Shaheed was named as an FCS First Team All-American as both a kick returner and punt returner. He had a 100-yard kick return against Utah in each team’s season opener.
