Devin Lloyd Reflective On Utes Ahead Of NFL Draft
SALT LAKE CITY- It’s the biggest day of Devin Lloyd’s life to this point, but he is keeping his cool and remembering his time with the Utes before the NFL Draft. Much like his leadership at Utah, Lloyd is the picture of unflappability and ready to take on whatever adventure is coming his way.

“Ultimately, this is a special, huge thing, but at the end of the day too, you are just going on to the next phase of your life,” Lloyd said. “You want to make sure you are enjoying it, and for me, I’m just taking it all in and keeping my head level.”
Head coach Kyle Whittingham and linebacker coach Colton Swan will both be in attendance for Lloyd’s big moment Thursday night. Lloyd credits both men with recognizing and developing his talent and wanted to share the spotlight a little.
“I wanted to have them there,” Lloyd said. “They are such a huge part of why I am here. They recruited me, and they believed in me, and they developed me, and they helped me turn into the man I am. I’m really just grateful for them and everything they preached over the last few years I’ve been there. I definitely wanted to have them there because they mean so much and I know it’s a special opportunity. Not every year that it happens so I wanted them there.”

There has been a lot of excitement around Lloyd’s upcoming opportunities and rightfully so. However, being the good teammate and friend that he is, Lloyd is every bit as excited to see where some of his brothers end up in the coming days as well.
“My dawg Neph- I’m hoping for him man,” Lloyd said. “I know teams are hot on him too. I know we are both excited to see where he’s going to go. I’m looking forward to Bam, Covey, Mika, T.J.- pretty much who were at the ProDay and looking for their shot, and opportunity which I know they are going to get. I’m excited to see what is going to happen with them and we are all just ready.”
