SALT LAKE CITY – Former Utah Utes linebacker and high-profile prospect Devin Lloyd said he’s “living in the moment” ahead of the 2022 NFL Draft.
The NFL Draft takes place in Las Vegas from April 28-30.
Lloyd is widely projected to go in the first round on Thursday night.
A day before the start of the draft, the former Utah standout spoke with KSL Sports and detailed his emotions ahead of his life-changing night.

“I honestly, you know, until you mentioned it, I didn’t realize it was tomorrow,” Lloyd said. “I’m really just living in the moment.”
The majority of mock drafts currently have the star linebacker landing somewhere in the teens to twenties during the opening round.

Lloyd said he doesn’t have a preference on which team he wants to be drafted by other than “whatever team is willing to pull the trigger.”
Until he hears his name called, the future pro will continue “living in the moment” while being grateful for the opportunity.
“Once I get there, it’s probably just gonna be a slew of just emotions, just hitting me at once,” Lloyd added. “Until then, I’m just cruising.”
