Fellow 2022 NFL Draft Prospects Praise Utah LB Devin Lloyd

SALT LAKE CITY – Multiple 2022 NFL Draft prospects spoke highly of former Utah Utes linebacker Devin Lloyd ahead of the first round.
On Wednesday, April 27, one day before the opening round of the NFL Draft, three high-profile prospects spoke with KSL Sports about Lloyd.
NFL Draft Prospects Talk Devin Lloyd
Nakobe Dean – Linebacker – Georgia
Dean, like Lloyd, is a standout linebacker. The former Bulldogs star helped lead Georgia to a national title in 2021.
Lloyd and Dean are widely projected as the top two linebackers to be selected in the NFL Draft.
Dean complimented Lloyd as a versatile player who plays the game “the right way.”

Kayvon Thibodeaux – Defensive End – Oregon
Thibodeaux is a standout defensive lineman from the Pac-12’s Oregon Ducks. Lloyd and Thibodeaux had the opportunity to face each other multiple times in their college careers.
Thibodeaux exclaimed that Lloyd was “a beast” on the football field.

Drake London – Wide Receiver – USC
Like Thibodeaux, Drake London played Lloyd multiple times during his time with the USC Trojans.
The wideout, who is expected to go in the top 20 picks, called Lloyd a “special player.”

About Devin Lloyd
The Chula Vista, California native played for the Utes from 2018-21.
During his Utah career, Lloyd had 256 total tackles, 150 solo tackles, 16.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, five interceptions, eight pass breakups, and three touchdowns.
