Former Utah WR Kenneth Scott Discusses Potential Impact Players For 2022 Utes
SALT LAKE CITY – Former Utah Utes standout wide receiver Kenneth Scott was at the spring game on Saturday and stopped by the KSL studios to talk some football.
Kenneth Scott was in town to visit Utah football and check out the 2022 squad as they wrapped up their spring practices. Scott joined Jeremiah Jensen on SportsBeat to talk about his experience at the spring game, what to expect from the 2022 team and the book he wrote about his mother.
Man, I love SLC and am always saddened when I have to depart. This place will always be a home to me, and I'm forever grateful for the love I receive. I made the best decision ever at the age of 16 to commit to being able to experience this place. Appreciate the hospitality ๐๐พ๐๐พ

The expectations are high for the Utes going into the 2022 season, with some considering Utah a College Football Playoff contender. Scott loves the hype around his alma mater and talked about one particular player that he thinks could have an impact this season.
“They’ve got all the pieces to the puzzle,” Scott said. “One of the key pieces that I love so much is Munir McClain. Him moving to the tight end position, of course he is athletically built for the outside as a receiver, but moving him to tight end is going to be crazy with Dalton Kincaid and Thomas Yassmin.”
Scott wrote a book “Twenty Four, my life’s journey through being a mom, lupus, and a kidney transplant.” The book was published in February and detailed why he wrote the book.
“She dealt with lupus for 24 years,” Scott said. “Witnessing her going through pain, sacrifice, struggle, heartache, day in and day out, how to support me financially, physically, mentally, emotionally, the whole mission around the book was how can we highlight or encourage others to have that strength inside them. To finish their journey and not give up. Going through the book stages and writing that, that was my whole mission.”

Appreciate all who support! If you have Lupus or know any who does, or even in that season where you may feel weak and need strength to overcome your situation, Iโd recommend you purchase it for yourself or someone else as a gift. pic.twitter.com/TA5JQxqRPJ— Kenneth Goobie Scott (@Kscott_2) February 20, 2022
