SALT LAKE CITY – Former Utah Utes linebacker and NFL Draft prospect Devin Lloyd talked about his parents’ military service and example.
Lloyd is projected by many NFL experts to be a top 15 selection in the 2022 NFL Draft.
The former Utah star partnered with USAA, a sponsor of the NFL, to discuss his parents’ service and what it means to him.
Lloyd was asked, “What does your parents’ military service mean to you?”
“So my father served in the military for 30 years. My mom was in for 10 years as well. My mom and my dad met in the Navy,” Lloyd replied. “Their service to me is everything just because they’re really sacrificing themselves for the country and for the greater good. So I learned so much about really just being a good person.”
With the #NFLDraft next week, thank you @USAA for helping me honor the military community & my parents who served in the @USNavy. The lessons I learned from their service & sacrifice will help me achieve success in the @NFL. #SaluteToService #USAApartner pic.twitter.com/WITbuD9JiP
