SALT LAKE CITY – Four of the top NFL quarterbacks plan to compete against each other during the next edition of the “The Match” charity golf tournament.

On Monday, April 18, the competitors for this summer’s event were announced.

NFL veterans Tom Brady (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers) will team up against young stars Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills) and Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs).

Brady and Rogers golf against the Allen/Mahomes pairing on June 1 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“We tried to make this a tag team cage match but the lawyers said our contracts wouldn’t allow it…” Brady tweeted. “#CapitalOnesTheMatch is back, June 1st. Let’s kick their ass @AaronRodgers12.”

“Not a fair fight,” Rodgers wrote on Twitter.

“2 old bulls, 2 young calves…” Allen tweeted.

“This should be fun,” Mahomes posted.

The Match

The golf tourney began in 2018 when Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson squared off against one another.

Since then, four more versions of the event have taken place.

The following individuals have competed in the tournament:

  • Tiger Woods
  • Phil Mickelson
  • Peyton Manning
  • Tom Brady
  • Charles Barkley
  • Stephen Curry
  • Bryson DeChambeau
  • Aaron Rodgers
  • Brooks Koepka

The event has raised millions of dollars for charity.
