SALT LAKE CITY – The Copper Rock Championship will have two Utah players in the field ahead of next week’s Copper Rock Championship.
Former BYU golfer Kendra Dalton, who currently sits 64th on the 2022 Epson Tour Money List, returns to Copper Rock with the hope of improving on last year’s T45 finish. While Salt Lake Country Club assistant and three-time Utah PGA Player of the Year Haley Sturgeon also returns after receiving and accepting an exemption. Last year Sturgeon missed the cut by one shot.
“I can’t thank Copper Rock and the Epson Tour enough for allowing me to compete in my home state,” said Sturgeon, who is set to make her second Epson Tour start in the Copper Rock Championship. “This is a dream come true. It’s such an honor to be granted a sponsor invite and to represent Utah is meaningful beyond words. I really look forward to teeing it up in Hurricane among some of the best in the women’s game.”
