Utah Basketball Officially Signs Wilguens Exacte Jr.

SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah men’s basketball program officially signed Wilguens Exacte Jr. to Craig Smith’s roster on Wednesday afternoon.
Wilguens Exacte Jr. will give Utah basketball some depth and size in their backcourt, standing at 6’6 and 225 pounds.
“Wil is a tenacious player as a 6-6 and 225 pounds guard,” said head coach Craig Smith of Exacte Jr. “He is very strong and athletic. He competes with great force on both sides of the ball and brings great versatility to our team. With his size and skill, he can play any perimeter position on the floor. Wil has also played at a very high level over the last couple years as a member of the NBA Academy.”

Exacte Jr. is a three-star shooting guard, according to On3.com and joins the program from NBA Academy Latin America by way of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Before his time at NBA Latin America, Exacte Jr. prepped at College Notre-Dame in Montreal and played for the Sun Youth Hornets. He also played with the Under Armour Canada Elite team in the AAU circut.
Exacte Jr. is the fourth Canadian to attend NBA Academy Latin American, joining Clemson/Marquette’s Oliveier Maxence Prosper, Tre-Vaughn Minott of South Carolina and the reigning Pac-12 Player of the Year Bennedict Mathurin from Arizona.
