Former Utah, NFL LB Talks Britain Covey As Pro Receiver, Returner

SALT LAKE CITY – Former NFL linebacker Stevenson Sylvester discussed the NFL potential of former Utah Utes wide receiver Britain Covey.
Sylvester, who played in the league from 2010-14, discussed Covey’s potential as an NFL player during KSL TV’s SportsBeat on Sunday, April 10.
During the television segment, Sylvester broke down Covey’s outlook at a professional as both a receiver and a returner.

“Covey is an extremely shifty person, which makes him a great return man,” the former NFL player said. “He is just a tremendous playmaker at the end of the day.”

“I really think he made a legitimate case for himself at his pro day,” Sylvester said. “He passed the look test for NFL scouts.”

“Get him the football and watch him work,” Sylvester said.

About Britain Covey
After a special high school career at Timpview High School in Provo, Covey played at the University of Utah from 2015-21.
During his Utah career, Covey had 132 receptions for 1,497 yards and eight touchdowns. On the ground, he added 35 carries for 201 yards.

Covey returned the ball on punt return and kick return a total of 84 times for 1,143 yards and two touchdowns.
2022 NFL Draft
The draft is scheduled to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada from April 28-30.
It will be broadcast on ESPN and NFL Network.
