Red Rocks Preparing For Nationals

The Red Rocks are one of the most consistent teams across any sport and are currently preparing to make their 46th straight appearance at the NCAA National Championship next week. Head coach Tom Farden has taken what was already a storied program under Greg and Megan Marsden and continues to grow and push its limits. If you missed the story be sure to check it out below.
Women’s Basketball
It’s never too early to dream big. Earlier in the week Utah women’s basketball made ESPN’s “Way Too Early Top 25” after putting together quite the run in post-season this past year.

- Utah diver Holly Waxman was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Year after completing a phenomenal first season with the Utes. Congrats Holly!
- Utah lacrosse goalkeeper Zion Dechesere was named the ASUN conference Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against Air Force last week. Way to go, Zion!
- In other lacrosse news, the Utes routed Cleveland State earlier Saturday 15-11 after going on a scoring rampage in the second half of the game. They now sit 2-0 in ASUN play and 6-3 overall.
- Utah softball started their three game series at home against Cal Friday night with a 7-5 loss. Game two is currently in progress at the Dumke Softball Stadium.
- Utah baseball started their three game series Friday night against the #15 ranked UCLA Bruins. After holding a lead for six innings, the Utes couldn’t hang on and the Bruins took the lead 6-5. Game two is currently in progress at Smith’s Ball Park.
