Instant Replay: Stewart Cink Makes Ace On 16 At The Masters

SALT LAKE CITY – 48-year-old Stewart Cink made an ace on the 16th hole in the second round of The Masters sending the gallery into a frenzy.
It was his second ace on hole 16 at Augusta National in his career and the first ace on 16 since Tommy Fleetwood made a 1 in 2021. It is the only ace of the 2022 Masters to date.

Friday’s pin location allows players to aim right of the flagstick allowing the golf ball to trickle down the ridge towards the hole. Cink’s ace was played perfectly, as the ball ran down the slope and into the center of the cup.
Cink’s son, Raegan, is on the bag, and the reaction was priceless. Raegan’s face dropped when he saw the ball disappear into the bottom of the cup and the two shared a hug that they will remember for the rest of their lives.
Sadly, despite Cink’s best efforts, he was unable to make the cut finishing the second round with a total score of seven over par and three shots off the cutline.
