Clarkson Hits Three After House Jr. Throws Impressive Pass Against Grizzlies

SALT LAKE CITY – Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson connected on a three-pointer after Danuel House Jr. threw an impressive pass during Utah’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Jazz hosted the Grizzlies at Vivint Arena on Tuesday, April 5.
Early in the second quarter, House Jr. saved the ball from going out of bounds and threw a spectacular pass to Clarkson in the corner as he was flying out of bounds.
Clarkson knocked down the corner three-pointer to give the Jazz a 27-19 lead with 11:40 left in the first half.

Midway through the second quarter, Clarkson had eight points and two rebounds. House Jr. had one rebound, one assist, and a block.
This season, Clarkson is averaging 16.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. House Jr. is recording 6.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.1 assists as a Jazzman.
Grizzlies vs. Jazz
The Jazz will look to earn their first win of the season over the Grizzlies when the two teams meet on Tuesday.
The Jazz beat the Grizzlies in the opening round of the playoffs last season 4-1, but have gone winless in two meetings this season.
The two teams have headed in different directions since last year’s postseason with the Jazz dipping to the sixth seed in the Western Conference while Memphis has already locked up the second seed.
Quin Snyder strongly contested that narrative that Donovan Mitchell isn't looking to pass the ball to Rudy Gobert before the @utahjazz hosted the @memgrizz. #TakeNote https://t.co/fQSsE3tOz4

Jazz Playing Worst Basketball Of The Season
The Jazz goal throughout the year has been to be playing their best basketball as they enter the playoffs, but recently it’s been anything but easy.
After blowing a 21 point lead against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday the Jazz have lost six of their last seven games, including six straight on the road.
Amid the losses, the relationship between Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert has come under a microscope with both players seeming to offer criticism of one another during media availabilities before and after games.
The @utahjazz will look to earn their first win of the season series against the @memgrizz.
And, a win would go a long way in preventing the two teams from meeting again in the first round. #takenote https://t.co/4m1d5mUVsi

With less than one week left in the regular season, the Jazz need any combination of two wins over their four final games, or two Minnesota Timberwolves losses in their three final outings to avoid the postseason play-in tournament.
Grizzlies Playing Best Basketball In The West
While the Jazz season has submarined ahead of the playoffs, the Grizzlies are playing the best basketball of any team in the West.
Memphis has won 11 of their last 12 outings, including seven straight without the help of All-Star Ja Morant.
Morant has missed the stretch after tweaking his knee in late March and is expected to return to the lineup before the playoffs.
The All-Star guard did go through practice with the Grizzlies on Monday.
