Two BYU Athletes Announce Engagement To Each Other

PROVO, Utah – A pair of BYU athletes announced their engagement to each other over the weekend. The two athletes are Dallin Holker from the BYU football team and Taye Raymond with BYU Track & Field.
Both Holker and Raymond announced the engagement on their social media accounts. From the looks of the pictures, the proposal included horseback riding—a classy touch.
A third-year tight end with the football program, Holker wrote, “Very grateful for @tayerayy I love you.”

Both Holker and Raymond are scholarship athletes at BYU that grew up in Utah County. Holker prepped at Lehi High School while Raymond was at Orem High. Raymond comes from an athletic family. Her brother, Dax, played football at Utah State and was in the NFL with the Chicago Bears for a season. He’s also spent time with the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers practice squads.
Raymond’s sister is also a member of the Cougarettes.
The newly engaged couple didn’t publicly announce a date for when they plan to get married, but when they do, Dallin Holker will become the second BYU football player married to another BYU athlete. Offensive lineman Clark Barrington is married to BYU softball’s Brooke Hill-Barrington.
Many of Holker and Raymond’s teammates congratulated the couple on social media, including Holker’s quarterback, Jaren Hall, who wrote on Instagram, “Bout time elder.”
Congrats to Holker and Raymond on the engagement.
