Donovan Mitchell Receives Late Technical Foul After Calling Unavailable Timeout

SALT LAKE CITY – Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell received a technical foul after calling a timeout when there wasn’t one available late in Utah’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Clippers hosted the Jazz at Crypto.com Arena on Tuesday, March 29.
After blowing a 25-point third quarter lead, Utah found itself down 119-115 with 10 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter.
Mitchell attempted to call a timeout from the baseline when he was unable to inbound the ball. The only problem was that the Jazz had already used their timeout allotment for the game.
The fifth-year guard was assessed a technical foul for the attempted timeout call.
