Utah Warriors Come Up Short In Loss To Houston SaberCats Despite Late Rally

HERRIMAN, Utah – The Utah Warriors lost their second straight game of the season after falling to the Houston SaberCats 28-12 at Zions Bank Stadium.
Paul Lasike made his debut with the Utah Warriors against the Houston SaberCats and scored a try in the second half.

Houston got the game started with a try in the 17th minute. After making the conversion, the SaberCats had a 7-0 lead over the Warriors. The visiting side extended their lead to 14-0 in the 24th minute that led to a successful conversion.
That was all the scoring that took place in the first half.
Coming out of the halftime break, Houston scored a try and conversion to make it a 21-0 lead. The Warriors scored their first points of the game in the 64th minute but they couldn’t get the conversion.
The “Cardiac Kids” kept fighting back as the Warriors scored a try in the 73rd minute by Paul Lasike. They nailed the conversion kick to trim the deficit to 21-12. As the Warriors made another attempt at a try, they threw the ball back and Houston intercepted it and took it all the way back for a try in the 79th minute that sealed the road win.
The Warriors dropped their record to 2-5-0 on the season. They will return to Zions Bank Stadium on Friday, April 1 to face the San Diego Legion at 8 p.m. MT on KSLSports.com, the KSL Sports app and the KSL 5 TV app.
