Drafted Sorensen spent eight seasons in the Kansas City secondary, making the playoffs seven times. The Chiefs advanced to the AFC championship game 2018-2021, winning the Super Bowl in 2019 and losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020. In 15 playoff games with the Chiefs, Sorensen’s production dipped as he finished with 77 tackles and one tackle for a loss.
In eight years, Sorensen started 39 games and finished with 407 combined tackles, 19 tackles for a loss and 4.5 sacks. With a penchant for the play, Sorensen forced four fumbles and picked off 12 passes, returning four INT’s for touchdowns.

Sorensen played four seasons in Cougar blue, finishes his four year career with 215 tackles, 11.5 tackles for a loss and eight interceptions.
Much maligned by the Kansas City fan base in recent season’s for his role in a series of big plays given Kansas City’s defense, Sorensen entered free agency after the 4-year $16-million contract he signed in 2016 expired.
Terms of the contract have not been released.
