Utah State, BYU Football Game Moved Up On 2022 Schedule

SALT LAKE CITY – The 2022 football in-state rivalry game between the Utah State Aggies and BYU Cougars moved up on the schedule.
USU and BYU announced the scheduling movement on Tuesday, March 15.
The rivalry contest was moved up one day and will now be played on Thursday, September 29. The game was previously scheduled for September 30.
The Cougars will host the Aggies for the weekday game at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah.

BYU owns a 50-37-3 all-time lead in the series with USU. The Cougars are 30-18-1 against the Aggies in Provo. However, Utah State has defeated BYU in two of the last three games at LaVell Edwards Stadium.
Last season, Utah State hosted BYU. The Cougars went up to Logan, Utah, and came away with a 34-20 victory.
In 2021, BYU had a 10-3 record. Last season, Utah State posted a school-record 11-3 record. The Aggies also captured their first Mountain West Conference title and won their bowl game against Oregon State.

Utah State will open its 2022 slate at home against the UConn Huskies on Saturday, August 27.
The rivalry game in September will be aired on KSL NewsRadio (102.7 FM and 1160 AM) and The Zone Sports Network (1280 AM).
