SALT LAKE CITY – For the first time, “March Madness” branding has been placed on the Women’s NCAA Tournament. The 2022 season appears to be as wide open of a field as any in women’s basketball history.
In the first round of March Madness, one of the more interesting matchups is in the Wichita Regional featuring 6-seed BYU vs 11-seed Villanova from the Big East Conference.

The round of 64 matchup will take place in Ann Arbor, Michigan, home of the Michigan Wolverines. Michigan is the host as they earned the 3-seed in the quadrant.
BYU comes into the game with a 26-3 record, while the Wildcats from Philly are 23-8 on the season.
