SALT LAKE CITY – Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell found fellow NBA All-Star, Rudy Gobert, for a rim-rocking slam dunk during Utah’s game against the San Antonio Spurs.
The Spurs hosted the Jazz at AT&T Center on Friday, March 11.
On Utah’s opening possession of the third quarter, Mitchell dished the ball off to an open Gobert in the paint. Gobert slammed the ball through the cylinder to give the Jazz a 61-50 lead with 11:35 left in the third quarter.

After the All-Star connection, Gobert had six points, eight rebounds, and one assist. Mitchell had a team-high 18 points, two rebounds, and three assists.
This season, Mitchell is averaging 25.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game.
Gobert is recording 15.5 points per game on 71.3 percent shooting.
Jazz vs. Spurs
With 17 games left in the regular season, the fourth-seeded Jazz will be closely monitoring the playoff of the Dallas Mavericks who sit in the fifth seed.
Dallas trails the Jazz by just a game and a half, and with another meeting between the two teams set for March 27, every game will be crucial for the standings.
The @utahjazz will look to avoid becoming part of history as @spurs coach Gregg Popovich is one win shy of the all-time coaching record.
And, the Jazz will be doing it shorthanded. #TakeNote https://t.co/RU4f5sKwg0

The Jazz are 5-2 since returning from the All-Star break but will be missing a key cog as they look to build on their recent success.
Bogdanovic, who will miss Friday’s game, is on a historic shooting streak for the Jazz. The forward had knocked down a franchise-record 21 three-pointers in his three previous games, the most by any Jazzman over a three-game stretch.
Bogdanovic had also led the Jazz in scoring in each of their three previous games.
Utah’s game against San Antonio is broadcast on AT&T SportsNet, NBA League Pass, and The Zone Sports Network.
