SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah football program released part two of the “22 Forever” docu-series on Tuesday afternoon that is honoring Ty Jordan and Aaron Lowe.

Part one of 22 Forever premiered two weeks ago that talked about the potential that Ty Jordan had and the impact that his tragic loss had on the Utah football team.

You can watch part two in its entirety, below.

The second part started out with the initial shock of the loss of Ty Jordan.

“You could see the team start to unify, start to bond, start to connect and the chemistry build,” Whittingham said. “You could just see everybody supporting each other and leaning on each other and really coming together as one. As a football coach, when you have that going on, you know you have a chance for something special.”

Players talked about the work they put in during the off-season and the goals they set following the tragic loss of Jordan. Then they went to the first game of the 2021 season against Weber State. Whittingham talked about how special the video was that paid tribute to Jordan between the third and fourth quarter.

The docu-series shifted to their next two games in losses to BYU and San Diego State. After a 1-2 start, the players decided to meet as a team without the coaches. Utah changed quarterbacks from Charlie Brewer to Cam Rising during the SDSU game. Then the series moved to the Washington State game.

Once the win over Washington State was documented, they briefly talked about the loss of Aaron Lowe, just hours after beating Wazzu.

The third episode will premiere on Thursday, March 24 and the final episode released on Thursday, April 7.
