Instant Replay: Seahawks, Broncos React To Russell Wilson Trade

SALT LAKE CITY – The Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos shared their reactions to the Russell Wilson trade with funny social media posts.
Seattle reportedly traded Wilson to the Broncos on Tuesday, March 8.
Shortly after reports of the trade surfaced, the Seahawks tweeted a reaction with a video clip from the 2000 movie, “Cast Away.”
In the film. Tom Hanks’ character, Chuck Noland, is stranded on an uninhabited island. While on the island, he becomes “friends” with a volleyball and washed up on the shore. Noland names the volleyball, Wilson. After years on the island, Noland attempts to sail back to humanity on a makeshift raft. While sailing, he loses Wilson to the ocean.
The Seahawks shared a clip from the movie where Noland shouts, “Wilson, where are you?”

An hour before the Seahawks’ post, the Broncos tweeted a GIF of Noland and the volleyball on the island.

Seattle reportedly traded the nine-time Pro Bowl quarterback for a major haul of picks and players.
Trade package:
Seattle gets QB Drew Lock, TE Noah Fant, DL Shelby Harris, two first-round picks, two second-round picks and a fifth-round pick.
Denver gets Russell Wilson and a fourth-round pick.

During his career, Wilson has thrown for 37,059 yards, 292 touchdowns, and 87 interceptions with a 65.0 completion rate. He led the Seahawks to a championship in Super Bowl XLVIII in 2014.
Last season, the quarterback battled through an injury and the Seahawks missed the postseason with a 7-10 record.
In 2021, Denver had a 7-10 record and missed the playoffs as well.
The Broncos and Seahawks are scheduled to play each other in 2022.
