Jazz Drop Tough Battle With Dallas Mavericks

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz ended their five-game road trip with a 111-103 loss to the Dallas Mavericks.
With the loss, the Jazz finished their road trip with a 3-2 record and saw their lead over the Mavericks for the fourth seed drop to 0.5 games.
Luka Doncic led all scorers with 35 points while Bojan Bogdanovic added 21 points for the Jazz.
First Quarter
Doncic came out in the first quarter and dominated scoring 16 points and grabbing four rebounds.
But the Jazz withstood his hot start thanks to 10 points from Bojan Bogdanovic.

Dallas shot 3-9 from the three-point line while the Jazz shot 3-6 in the first quarter.
After one, the Jazz trailed Dallas 30-24.
Second Quarter
The Mavericks opened the second quarter on a big push and built their lead to as much as 15.
Jordan Clarkson and Hassan Whiteside combined for 18 points in the first half which helped the Jazz second unit stay connected despite Dallas knocking down 9-23 from the three-point line.

The Jazz closed the half with some momentum and cut the Mavericks lead to just 11 at the break.
After two, the Jazz trailed Dallas 60-49.
Third Quarter
Dallas’s hot shooting cooled off in the third quarter, but the Jazz matched the Mavericks cold streak with poor shooting of their own.
The Mavericks shot just 9-22 in the quarter while the Jazz shot 7-21 and quickly watched their deficit climb to 20.

Doncic had 29 points heading into the fourth quarter while Bogdanovic had 15 to lead the Jazz.
After three the Jazz trailed the Mavericks 85-68.
Fourth Quarter
The Jazz rallied to open the fourth quarter and were able to make it a game late, trailing y jut six with 1:08 left to play.
However, ultimately the hole the Jazz dug in the third quarter was too deep and cost them the game.

Doncic finished with 35 points while the Jazz were led by Bogdanovic who scored 21 points on 7-11 shooting.
The Jazz fell to Dallas 105-97.
