SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah State Aggies concluded their 2021-22 regular season with a 75-52 win over Mountain West cellar-dweller San Jose State.
San Jose State (1-17, 8-22) hosted the Aggies (8-10, 17-14) in San Jose, CA on Friday, March 4.
Playing without regular starters Steven Ashworth and Brock Miller, the Aggies took advantage of a struggling San Jose team just playing out the end of their disappointing season.

It was a back a forth first half for the last in the Mountain West Spartans and middle of the pack Aggies. Each team enjoyed a 9-0 run at different points in a half that saw three lead changes and three ties.
San Jose State enjoyed a 7-0 advantage in second chance points, finishing the half with six offensive boards. The Spartans also enjoyed an 18-10 scoring advantage in the paint and had eight steals compared to none for the Aggies.
There’s no word on what head coach Ryan Odom said to his team in the locker room at halftime, but it worked as the Aggies started the second half on fire.
While limiting the Spartans to 40 percent shooting, the Aggies were able to shoot 60 percent themselves.
