SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Valley Wolverines couldn’t get things going offensively in their 68-57 road loss to the Grand Canyon Antelopes on Thursday night.

Utah Valley struggled in all three phases on offense in their loss to Grand Canyon, shooting 38% (22-57) from the field, 7% (1-14) from the three-point line and 48% (12-25) at the free throw line.

Fardaws Aimaq led the Wolverines with 19 points and 19 rebounds before fouling out of the game. Justin Harmon dropped 18 points and five rebounds. Connor Harding added 12 points and four boards.

UVU was outscored 30-24 in the first half and 38-33 in the second half. Their largest lead was when it was 2-0 in the opening minutes of the game. The lead changed three times and Utah Valley led for just 49 seconds.

Holland Woods had 24 points to lead Grand Canyon in the win. Jovan Blacksher Jr. chipped in 15 points, while Gabe McGlothan notched a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.

The Antelopes shot 40% from the field, 25% from beyond the arc and 73% at the foul line, going 22-30 at the charity stripe, which seemed to be the big difference in the game.

Utah Valley dropped their record to 19-10 overall and 10-7 in WAC play. They will wrap up the regular season on Saturday, March 5 against New Mexico State at 7 p.m. MT on ESPN+.
