Jazz Guard Donovan Mitchell Connects On Deep Three Against Suns

SALT LAKE CITY – Fifth-year Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell buried a deep triple during a big run in the third quarter of Utah’s game against the Phoenix Suns.
The Suns hosted the Jazz at Footprint Center on Sunday, February 27.
With 2:16 remaining in the quarter, Mitchell pulled up for a 28-foot jumper that sailed through the cylinder. The triple tied the game at 86-86.
The shot was the second straight three-pointer by Mitchell and was part of an 11-0 run by that Jazz over a 1:17 span of game time.

Mitchell’s three gave him 23 points on 7-16 shooting, including 5-8 from distance. He added two rebounds, three assists, and a steal during his first 28 minutes of action.
This season, Mitchell is averaging 25.9 points per game on 45.9 percent shooting, including 35.7 percent from downtown. Mitchell ranks eighth in scoring in the NBA. He also averages 4.2 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 0.3 blocks, and 1.6 steals per game.
