After trailing by as many as 12 in the first half, the Aggies were able to cut into the Colorado State lead with a small run to close the half. They would trail 30-24 at the break.

After trailing the entire first half, the Aggies used an immediate 9-3 run to take their first lead of the game at 34-33.

Much of the second was spent in a back and forth battle that included eight lead changes and a pair of ties.
