Jazz Forward Juancho Hernangomez Starring In Netflix Movie With Adam Sandler

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Jazz forward Juancho Hernangomez is set to star in an upcoming film with Hollywood standout and comedian Adam Sandler.
The basketball-themed movie titled “Hustle” will be released on Netflix on June 10.
“Hustle” was written by Sandler and NBA star LeBron James.
Hernangomez and Sandler were showcased during a trailer for the film, which was unveiled on Friday, February 18.

“Hustle” is directed by Jeremiah Zagar.
In addition to Hernangomez and Sandler, the movie will star Ben Foster, Robert Duvall, and Queen Latifah.

Sandler is a big basketball fan and has gone viral on social media for playing pickup hoops. He is a storied actor that has starred in multiple movies involving sports, including The Waterboy, Happy Gilmore, and The Longest Yard. In 2019, Sandler headlined the cast of the movie “Uncut Gem,” which also featured former NBA great Kevin Garnett.

Hernangomez was acquired by the Jazz in a trade involving the Portland Trail Blazers and San Antonio Spurs on February 9.
This season, the forward is averaging 1.2 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 0.2 assists in 6.1 minutes per game.
Since the trade, the Madrid, Spain native has appeared in two games for Utah. During those games, Hernangomez has recorded 1.5 points in 2.5 minutes per contest.
Hernangomez first entered the league as the No. 15 overall pick by the Denver Nuggets in the 2016 NBA Draft.
The veteran is owed $6.1 million this season and $6.6 million next year, but the final year of his contract is non-guaranteed.
