SALT LAKE CITY – Former Utah Utes and current Los Angeles Rams safety Eric Weddle described his return to the NFL as “the craziest story ever.”
After playing 13 seasons in the league, the former Utah standout retired from the NFL in 2020.
Before Los Angeles began its postseason run, the Rams brought Weddle out of retirement and onto their roster in hopes the veteran player could help them play for a championship.
On Sunday, February 13, the Rams will play against the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI.
Weddle detailed his comeback to KSLSports.com and said he hopes to help the Rams make the dream of a Super Bowl title a reality.
