Weber State Suffers Second Straight Defeat In Road Loss To Eastern Washington

SALT LAKE CITY – The Weber State men’s basketball team fell to the second consecutive contest in a road defeat to the Eastern Washington Eagles.
The Eagles hosted the Wildcats on Thursday, February 10.
Weber State lost to EWU, 75-67.

The Wildcats were unable to limit the Eagles, especially EWU’s starting five.
Each member of the Eagles’ starting lineup scored at least 10 points in the game. Eastern Washington controlled both halves of the game on its way to victory. The Wildcats were outscored by three points in the first half and by five points over the final 20 minutes of action.

Weber State finished the night shooting 44.1 percent from the field, including 37.5 percent from beyond the arc. Seikou Sisoho Jawara led the Wildcats with 24 points on 9-14 field goals. He added five rebounds, one assist, two steals, and a block.

With the loss, the Wildcats fell to an 18-7 overall record, including 11-3 in Big Sky Conference contests. Weber State’s next game is on the road against the Idaho Vandals on Saturday, February 12 at 3 p.m. (MDT) on ESPN+.
