Justin Bean, Utah State Blow Out UNLV For Fifth Consecutive Win

SALT LAKE CITY – Justin Bean scored 32 points and helped the Utah State men’s basketball team cruise past the UNLV Rebels.
The Aggies hosted the Rebels on Saturday, February 5.
USU beat UNLV, 90-75.
The Aggies and Rebels battled through the first half and Utah State took a two-point advantage in the locker room at the halftime break.
The back-and-forth fight continued throughout the opening minutes of the second half.
UNLV’s Bryce Hamilton buried a jumper to cut USU’s lead to 54-53 with 12:07 to play.
After Hamilton’s bucket, the Aggies went on a 16-0 run to blow the game open. USU’s burst and UNLV’s drought lasted more than five minutes.
Utah State outscored UNLV by 13 points over the final 20 minutes and helped the Aggies capture a big conference victory.
The Aggies finished the contest shooting 64.0 percent from the field, including 45.5 percent from beyond the arc.
Bean led USU with 32 points on 11-15 shooting, including 5-7 on three-pointers. He added 10 rebounds, three assists, and one steal.
With the victory, the Aggies improved to a 15-9 overall record this season, including 6-5 in Mountain West Conference games.
Utah State’s next game is on the road against the Wyoming Cowboys on Tuesday, February 8 at 7 p.m. (MDT). The game will air on The Zone Sports Network.
