SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Utes linebacker Devin Lloyd’s name has been removed from the roster of players participating in the upcoming Reese’s Senior Bowl.
Lloyd’s name appeared on the roster on the Senior Bowl’s website earlier in January but was removed as of Monday, January 30.
The removal of Lloyd’s name is a possible sign of the linebacker opting out of the exhibition.
The Reese’s Senior Bowl is a college football all-star game that is played annually in Mobile, Alabama.
This year’s game is slated to take place on Saturday, February 5 at 12 p.m. (MDT).
Lloyd’s potential opt-out would make Southern Utah’s Braxton Jones the only local player scheduled to play in the Senior Bowl.
Just realized (thanks @mello) that Devin Lloyd is also no longer on Senior Bowl rosters…

He finished the season with 111 total tackles, 66 solo tackles, eight sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, four interceptions, six pass breakups, and two touchdowns.
Lloyd was named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year for the 2021 season.
He ended his Utah career with 256 total tackles, 150 solo tackles, 16.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, five interceptions, eight pass breakups, and three touchdowns.
