Dixie State Trailblazers Offense Leads The Way In Road Win

SALT LAKE CITY – Forward Hunter Schofield’s 23 points led the Trailblazers in a 79-65 win against Chicago State.
The Cougars of Chicago State (2-6, 6-15) hosted Dixie State (4-4, 11-10) at the Emil & Patricia A. Jones Convocation Center on Saturday, January 29.

Schofield started hot, scoring 10 of the Trailblazers first 16 points.
After trailing 12-9 on a Bryce Johnson three, Dixie State took the lead and never looked back.
Junior forward Dancell Leter picked up a double-double, grabbing 11 rebounds on his way to 13 points. Cameron Gooden (10) and Isaiah Pope (12) also scored in double figures for Dixie State.

Coreyoun Rushin led the Cougars with 17 points.
Dixie State stays out on the road as they turn their attention to the state of Texas where they are scheduled to take on Sam Houston on Thursday, February 3. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. (MDT)
