“Thank you so much for the big support for following RSL. Right now we are in Tucson where we are preparing to have a great season. Have a good one, cya!” Kreilach said.
Real Salt Lake is currently preparing in Tucson, Arizona, where they will hold practice matches against Grand Valley Univerity and Houston Dynamo before returning to Utah on February 2nd. Both matches will not be available to stream.
After a short stint in Utah, the club will travel to Portland, Oregon, where it will contend in a preseason tournament against Minnesota United, Portland Timbers, and Viking FK – a Norweigian top-flight club.
New Role, Same Leader
Kreilach’s role in 2022 will be elevated on and off the pitch. The loss of Albert Rusnák to rival club Seattle Sounders earlier this year adds a greater emphasis onto the shoulders of Kreilach. Fortunately, Kreilach’s attitude and personality provide Real Salt Lake with a marquee face of the franchise.
In 2021, Kreilach was the only Real Salt Lake player named to the MLS All-Star game, he was the leading goalscorer on the team, had the second-most assists, and was relied on when his team needed him the most.
Kreilach has always had a knack for scoring goals in big games. When Kreilach plays, the standard increases across the board.
Real Salt Lake, although still unhappy with the departure of Rusnák and how it unfolded, is very fortunate to have Kreilach waiting in the wings.
