Jazz Forward Elijah Hughes Connects On Deep Three Against Suns

SALT LAKE CITY – Jazz forward Elijah Hughes knocked down a long-distance three-pointer during Utah’s game against the Phoenix Suns.
The Suns hosted the Jazz on Monday, January 24.
With 38.6 seconds remaining in the third quarter, Hughes launched a 30-foot attempt early in the shot clock. The second-year player from Syracuse watched his shot sail through the cylinder to cut Phoenix’s lead to 85-84.

At the end of the quarter, the Jazz owned an 87-85 advantage.
During the first 36 minutes of action, Hughes had six points on 2-4 shooting, including 2-3 from three. He added two rebounds, one assist, and a steal in 11 minutes on the hardwood.
This season, Hughes is averaging 3.0 points, 0.9 rebounds, and 0.4 assists in 6.2 minutes per contest. He entered the game shooting 52.6 percent overall and 50.0 percent from beyond the arc.
