Former BYU LB Harvey Langi Signs Contract Extension With Patriots

SALT LAKE CITY – Former BYU and current NFL linebacker Harvey Langi signed a contract extension to remain with the New England Patriots.
Kenny Zuckerman of Priority Sports shared the news via social media on Friday, January 21.
Langi recently completed his fourth professional season and second as a member of the Patriots.

The former BYU standout played seven games this season before landing on New England’s Injured Reserve list with an MCL sprain. He finished the season with three total tackles and one solo tackle.
During his four seasons in the NFL, Langi has recorded 80 total tackles, 49 solo tackles, one fumble recovery, and two pass breakups in 38 games played.
Langi helped the Patriots earn a 10-7 record and a playoff berth. He is one of two local NFL players on New England’s roster. Fellow former BYU star Kyle Van Noy also plays linebacker for the Patriots.
