RSL Head Coach Pablo Mastroeni Adds Brett Jacobs To Coaching Staff

SANDY, Utah – Real Salt Lake head coach Pablo Mastroeni announced that he has added Brett Jacobs as an assistant coach to his coaching staff.
Brett Jacobs spent the previous two seasons with Nashville SC before making the move to Real Salt Lake.
“I’m incredibly excited to welcome Brett to Real Salt Lake and to what we’re building here in Utah,” Mastroeni said. “I’ve known Brett for many years and as a player I had the opportunity to experience his commitment to individual development along with the team. He brings with him an incredible résumé both in MLS and abroad. It was important to bring someone who fits the culture of this Club and shares the same passion that we all do here at RSL. Please help me in welcoming Brett to the RSL Family.”

Before his time in Nashville, Jacobs was on the Colorado Rapids staff that coached Mastroeni from 2008-13. Jacobs rounds out the staff assembled by Mastroeni with Matt Taylor and goalkeeper coach Ignacio Hernandez.
“I’m so eager to get on board with Pablo and his staff. We have a lot of history together and I think it’s a very special time in Salt Lake,” Jacobs said. “In my opinion RSL is and has been one of the standard bearers in MLS. The infrastructures here are world class and the goal now is to enhance the success of last season and build a ruthless winning culture. I’m going to give it everything for the players, for the Club and for the city.”
