Jazz Guard Donovan Mitchell Throws Down Alley-Oop Dunk Over Pistons’ Trey Lyles

SALT LAKE CITY – Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell threw down a slam dunk on an alley-oop from Royce O’Neale during Utah’s game against Detroit Pistons.
The Pistons hosted the Jazz on Monday, January 10.
With 3:25 remaining in the third quarter, O’Neale lobbed a pass to Mitchell, who threw down a one-handed jam over former Jazzman and current Pistons forward Trey Lyles.

Utah traded Lyles to the Denver Nuggets in exchange for Donovan Mitchell during the 2017 NBA Draft.

Mitchell’s dunk gave the Jazz a 77-73 lead.
At the end of the third quarter, the Jazz trailed the Pistons, 88-84.
Mitchell led Utah with 20 points on 6-16 shooting, including 2-6 from three. He added three rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 26 minutes.
This season, Mitchell is averaging 25.8 points per game on 45.5 percent shooting, including 34.6 percent from downtown.
