Hassan Whiteside Throws Dunk Vicious Dunk During Jazz/Pistons Game
SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Jazz center Hassan Whiteside threw down a massive slam dunk during a big first half against the Detroit Pistons.
The Pistons hosted the Jazz on Monday, January 10.
With 7:09 left in the opening quarter, the Marshall product rocked the rim with a one-handed hammer on an alley-oop from Mike Conley.
Whiteside’s jam put the Jazz up 15-7.
The dunk was one of two slams by Whiteside during the first 12 minutes of action.
The center continued to roll in the second quarter.
Whiteside took advantage of the lack of size in Detroit’s frontcourt and repeatedly attacked former Jazzman and current Pistons forward Trey Lyles.
At halftime, Utah owned a 61-48 lead.
Whiteside went to the locker room with a team-high 18 points on 9-12 field goals. He added nine rebounds, one steal, and two blocks in 18 minutes on the hardwood.
This season, Whiteside is averaging 7.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, 0.3 assists, 1.3 blocks, and 0.2 steals per game.
Utah’s game against Detroit is broadcast on AT&T SportsNet, NBA League Pass, and The Zone Sports Network.
