Taysom Hill Throws Touchdown Pass, Leads Saints To Win Over Panthers

SALT LAKE CITY – Former BYU quarterback Taysom Hill threw a touchdown pass and led the New Orleans Saints to a division win over the Carolina Panthers.
The Saints hosted the Panthers at Caesars Superdome on Sunday, January 2.
With 7:49 left in the fourth quarter, Hill fired a 12-yard pass to Alvin Kamara for a touchdown.
The Hill-Kamara connection stretched the Saints’ lead to 18-10.

It was Hill’s third touchdown pass of the season and New Orleans’ first touchdown scored since Week 14.
The touchdown capped a seven-play, 63-yard drive that took 4:15 off the clock.
New Orleans held on for an eight-point victory, 18-10.

Hill finished the game 17/28 passing for 207 yards and one touchdown. He added 12 carries for a team-high 45 yards on the ground.
With the win, the Saints improved to a record of 8-8 and kept their postseason hopes alive.
New Orleans will wrap up the regular season on the road against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, January 9 at 11 a.m. (MDT) on FOX.
