Bears DT Khyiris Tonga Recovers Fumble During Win Over Giants

SALT LAKE CITY – Former BYU and current Chicago Bears defensive tackle Khyiris Tonga recovered a fumble during a win over the New York Giants.
The Bears hosted the Giants at Soldier Field on Sunday, January 2.
With 2:36 remaining in the third quarter, Giants quarterback Mike Glennon lost the football on a strip-sack forced by Trevis Gipson.
Tonga recovered the loose football at the Chicago 44-yard line.

At the time of Tonga’s fumble recovery, Chicago owned a 29-3 lead.
Earlier in the game, the former BYU standout served as a fullback on a Bears touchdown drive.

The Bears held on for a 26-point victory.
Tonga finished the game with two total tackles, one solo tackle, and a fumble recovery.
With the win, the Bears improved to a 6-10 record this season.
